PASSPORT

Several types of passport services are provided by the embassy. Please click download button to download the form. This form is applicable for any of the below mentioned services. Click the below titles to expand on the required documents for each type of application shown below.

P1 – Regular Passport or Renewal of Expiring Passport

  • Two application forms should be completed online and printed
  • Valid Passport & Photocopy of passport
  • Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate
  • Total 4 pp size photographs (border-less, white background, colour, size 35mm x 45mm)
  • Please bring cash of BD31.000 for passport fee

P2 – Replacement of Damaged, Torn or Lost Passport: Double charge

  • Two application forms should be completed online and printed
  • Application of details of loss, damage, or tear
  • Photocopy of lost Passport
  • Police report with PP No. and Name (applicable only if lost)
  • Original Nepalese citizenship certificate & also a photocopy of it
  • Total 4 pp size photographs (border-less, white background, colour, size 35mm x 45mm)
  • Please bring cash of BD 62.000 for passport fee
  • If it is the case that the passport is torn or damaged, the same should be submitted

P3 – Separate passports for infants: BD31.000

  • Two application forms should be completed online and printed
  • Total 4 pp size photographs (border-less, white background, colour, size 35mm x 45mm)
  • An application specifying of its need from parents
  • A photocopy of birth registration certificates (having parents’ name)
  • A photocopy of passport of the father AND mother of the child
  • A photocopy of citizenship certificate of the father AND mother of the child
  • To renew a passport for children under 16years old, you must submit a copy of Minor Certificate (नाबालक परिचय पत्र) or Birth Certificate.
  • Please bring cash of BD31.000 for passport fee

P4 – Temporary Passport: BD8.000

  • All the requirements mentioned on (P1) above
  • Temporary Passport is only issued to the applicant whose MRP is under processing to be issued
  • Fees: BD8.000
  • The validity of Temporary Passport will remain 1 year

P5 – Travel Document: BD16.000

  • All the requirements mentioned on (P1) above
  • Travel itinerary
  • Fees: BD16.000

Note

  • Passport fees are non-refundable.
  • Personal cheques and credit/debit cards are not
  • Passports are normally processed in about 2-3 months upon the submission of application.
  • Nepalese citizens having birth place other than in Nepal and have attended the age of 16 must submit citizenship certificate for new passport.
  • Whilst printing out the form after completion, ‘Actual size’ must be selected on print properties before printing.
  • Please bring your original passport and receipt to collect your new passport (MRP).

All hand-written passports should be replaced into Machine Readable Passports (MRP) by 24 November 2015. If the applicant possesses a hand-written passport, he/she can apply for an MRP any time before the expiry date.
